DRAWINGS FROM EARLY CHILDHOOD TO EARLY ADULT

Early horse drawing - age 4-5
Age 10. About this time I received the Walter Foster "How To Draw Horses" book, and my art improved dramatically
Age 11, my Big Foot period.
Age 11. Notice the improvement from a few months earlier, thanks to the Walter Foster book and riding lessons.

Age 12. A dramatic improvement from just a year earlier.
Age 13, my first oil painting on paper

Age 14, still moving forward.
Age 15. The horse is better rendered than the rest; a typical amateur drawing.

 
Age 17; one of my all time favorite drawings
Age 18. After this age, I did very little art for many years.

THE ADULT YEARS - AFTER ART SCHOOL

 
 
1988, my first horse, Willie, and I. Has perspective and anatomy problems and a poorly rendered human face.
1988, Willie again. More anatomy and perspective problems. but the penwork isn't bad.
